An introduction to the many and varied roles in which social workers. Reviews the historical development of the profession, its various fields of practice, the profession's code of ethics, and current national and local issues. Fifteen hours of service learning outside of class are required. By the end of the course, students should have a thorough knowledge of social work as a profession and the many roles that they could choose as social workers.
